Sarah C. Hiott

Mrs. Sarah C. (Smith) Hiott of North Charleston, SC was called home by our Heavenly Father on March 11, 2016. She was born on April 19, 1930 in North Charleston, SC. Sarah was blessed with a large and loving family. She was married to her best friend Gerald McCollen Hiott Sr. Sarah helped raise their five children with patience, discipline and love. Sarah was proceeded in death by her husband Gerald, and her daughter Geraldine (Sissy) Sudina. She is survived by her brother Daniel Reid Smith (Sandy) and sister Arbell Ellis. She is also survived by her three sons; Gerald Hiott II (Jody Davids), Carl Hiott Sr. (Joy), Dennis Hiott (Rhonda), and her daughter Linda Lytchfield. She was deeply loved by her grandchildren: Trey Hiott (Emory), Jennifer Martin, Carl Hiott II (Cindy), Trent Hiott, Christopher Sudina (Martha), Sean Lytchfield (Adrienne), Dennis Lee Hiott Jr., and Sarah Hiott. Also by her great grandchildren: Carly Martin, Courtney Martin, Martie Hiott, Amber Sudina, Christan Sudina, Nolan Lytchfield, and Landon Lytchfield. In addition to being a great cook, Sarah loved shopping and family gatherings. She was very dedicated to teaching her children the ways of our Lord, always giving and her door was always open. She always appreciated spending time with friends and neighbors, and always loved taking family vacations with her children. We celebrate her life and rejoice that she is now in a perfect body in eternal peace with our Lord and reunited with her husband and daughter. The funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 11:00 AM, which will be held at Carolina Memorial Gardens in North Charleston, SC. Family will receive loved ones and guests from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Carolina Memorial Gardens. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sarah’s life.
