Mrs. Shirley Berger

Shirley Yvonne Berger, 78, of North Charleston entered into eternal rest on November 10, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 17, 1936 to Edgar “EW” and Gladys Perkins in Brunswick, GA. She was a member of DorWay Baptist Church. She devoted her life to caring for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially taking camping trips with her husband and children. She loved painting trees and animals. She was the center of the family and everyone gathered at her house for holidays to enjoy her amazing cooking. She brought a smile to everyone and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by two daughters, Vickie Lovell and Sharon Williams (Nathan); one son, Charles Berger (Jessica); five grandchildren, Tracy Babington (Shawn), Joshua Lipford, Dustyn Hillbloom, Cody Hillbloom, and Charles Edward Berger. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Mason Babington and Molly Babington; one sister, Berniece Beach and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Charles F. Berger. Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Carolina Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in Carolina Memorial Chapel with the burial to follow immediately after in Carolina Memorial Park.
