Shirley Wright

Wife, Mom, Granny, GiGi, Shirley Wright, age 75, of Walterboro, South Carolina passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2020. Shirley was born September 5, 1945 in Charleston, SC. She was a devoted wife, married to Vannie Wright Sr, and mother of her 3 children: Vannie Wright Jr., Laurie Brooks(Scott Brooks), and Scottie Wright.

She was a loving grandmother and great grandmother to Ashley Hollis(Cody Springer), Justin Wright(Bre'Anna Wright), Taylor Mote(Dillon Mote), Autumn Cardwell, and Paige Wright. Great grandchildren: Ty Wright, Ryleigh Mote, Pyper Mote, Kinslee Wright, Jessie Cardwell, Ace-Orion Springer and Wyatt Wright.

Shirley Wright was a strong, determined, independent, and loving woman who never let anything hold her down. She married the love of her life, Vannie Wright Sr of 58 years. She was a dedicated worker for the United States Postal Service. After retirement, Shirley Wright spent the rest of her life surrounding herself with her loved ones. She was the glue that held the family for so many years.

Through her last days, she fought strong, while she had those last moments with her family. Those memories will never be forgotten. She will be greatly missed and always loved.

Visitation will be held on Thursday October 8, 2020 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. A Life Well Celebrated Service will be held on Friday October 9, 2020 at 2 pm at the chapel with burial to follow at the Carolina Memorial Gardens
