Sophia Asperga

Visitation will be 2-4 pm and again at 6-8 pm Friday, August 28, 2026, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC, 29406.

A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church 1106 Fort Dr., Hanahan, SC, 29410 with the Rev. Fr. Raynier Q. Dabu officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens, 7113 Rivers Ave, North Charleston, SC 29406.

Sophia Asperga was born July 4th, 2010, in Norwich, England to Ronald & Shirley Asperga. She went to school at Divine Redeemer Catholic School and Bishop England High School.

Sophia was the best Sister and Daughter a family can have. She was involved as an altar server at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church and School, where she received High Honors during elementary and middle School. Outside of volunteering, Sophia was a member of the Swim Team, and Drama Club at Bishop England High School. She especially loved to paint, draw, listen to music, and read books. For us, she is the perfect Sister and Daughter.

Sophia Asperga is survived by her parents Ronald and Shirley Asperga; a Sister, Samantha Asperga; Grandparents Lolita Asperga & Arcelie J. Cabatingan; Aunts and Uncles, Aunti Ma. Tisha Asperga, Lalaine Herradura, Uncle Ronaldo, Roberto & Rommel Cabatingan.
