Susan Harris Welborn

Susan was born on January 30, 1963, in Charleston County. She graduated from Gordon H. Garrett High School in North Charleston and attended Trident Technical College. She worked for Pearlstine Distributors and served as a caregiver. She was an avid animal lover and professed her strong religious faith as a long-standing member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church since early childhood. Her parents were leaders serving in multiple roles in that church.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Larry Welborn; their grandsons/adopted sons: Kalob Acey James Welborn, Kamen Lawrence Welborn, Jr., Matthew Neil Welborn and his family. In addition, she is survived by her loving aunt and uncle, Ruth and James Corn, and many cousins.

Susan now joins her two deceased baby girls and her parents, Hamlet Finis Harris Sr. and Thelma Lee Farmer Harris, in Heaven.

Susan lived at 2742 West Surrey Drive in North Charleston, SC 29405. She will be missed.

Cokesbury United Methodist Church, 4990 Dorchester Road, North Charleston, SC 29418, will memorialize Susan on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 1:00pm.
