Mrs. Thelma J. McLeod
March 19, 1937 – March 13, 2020
Thelma J. Herndon McLeod, age 82, entered into eternal rest on March 13, 2020 from cancer and gastrointestinal perforation. Thelma was born on March 19, 1937 in Charleston, a daughter of the late Leon Herndon of Walterboro and Eva Durr Herndon Pate of Charleston, South Carolina.
Thelma celebrated living, loving, laughing and all forms of beauty. She greeted all with a soft, but enthusiastic, "Hello!" She loved people and enjoyed her company. She attended her children, grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s important events to show her support and to cheer them on throughout her life. Thelma was an active member of the Goose Creek United Methodist Church; she assisted with programs to help others and offered her help anytime it was needed.
Thelma truly lived life to the fullest through spending time with friends and family. Anyone that knew her knew that Thelma would give the shirt off her back for a stranger. She was a precious wife, sister, aunt, mother, nana, and friend that will forever be remembered.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Robert W. McLeod; her daughter, Melinda Mazzone Johnson (Bruce) Goose Creek, SC; a son, Mark A. Mazzone (Pamela Castle) Guntown, Mississippi; and a step daughter, Rebecca McLeod Morrow Thompson (Mark) King George, Virginia. Surviving grandchildren; Billie Jo Antwine, Margeoux Mazzone Robinson (Eddie), Teela Marie Antwine Loponte (Joseph), Lacy Mazzone (Dalton Bisbee), Ashley Miles, J.T. Castle, Whitney Castle, Robert “Rob” Morrow, Justin Dean Morrow and Madison Thompson. Surviving great grandchildren; Hallie Smoak, Wyatt Carlson, Karmyn Litchfield, Sophie Woodhull, Ramsey Robinson, Charlotte Robinson, Landyn Morrow, Duke Morrow, Karagen Morrow, Harley Morrow, Austin Lardapide, Jake Morrow, and Laila Morrow.

Thelma. Was a true friend. She was always a lady. she shared her doctor's name with me so I could go see him and feel better. Last time I saw her was that bunco. She had so much fun with all of us. We miss her so bad. I'm so sorry.
