Thomas Billups Orr, 80, of North Charleston passed away on June 15, 2014. Tom was born on October 24, 1933 in Athens, GA to Charlie Alonzo Orr and Lois Orr. Tom spent 21 years serving his country in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. After retiring from the Air Force, Tom worked as a fire inspector for the Charleston Naval Shipyard, retiring after 20years. He is survived by his wife, Valerie Orr; two sisters, Shirley Brumund (Butch) and Virginia Sessoms (Clark); three brothers, Douglas Orr, Richard Orr (Nancy) and Stanford Orr (Marie); one step-brother, Leonard Evans (Mavis); one sister-in-law, Carolyn Orr and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Tom is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bobby Orr. Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2014. A funeral service will follow the visitation in Carolina Memorial Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. with full military honors.
