Tommie F Russell

Tommie Floyd Russell was born October 14, 1938 in Charleston, SC. A longtime resident of North Charleston, SC, Tommie died on Friday, April 2 at the age of 82. He was married for over 50 years to the love of his life, Mary Francis Russell. Tommie Russell was a Boiler Maker and a member of the local Union, based in North Charleston, SC. He had a long career where he traveled all over the United States. Tommie Russell was an avid NASCAR enthusiast and a jack of all trades; he could fix anything and was always working on something. He also loved to fish and spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always encouraging them at sporting events and dance performances. He enjoyed watching old Western movies and frequented the local boat landing to see the catch of the day. Tommie was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Mary Francis Russell. He is survived by his sons, Teddy Muckelvaney and Terry Muckelvaney, as well as grandchildren Phillip (Amy) Muckelvaney, Noel (Richard) Flick, Courtney (Tyriek) Escobar. Tommie had seven great-grandchildren. The visitation will be on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 12pm to 2 pm at the Carolina Memorial Funeral home. A Life Well Celebrated Service will begin at 2 pm at the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park Mausoleum .
