Viola S Wood

Mrs. Viola Suttles Wood, 88, of Charleston SC, widow of Richard P. Wood, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, December 8, 2015. Viola was born March 21, 1927 in Greenville, SC; daughter of the late Joseph G. and Mary Roddy Suttles. She retired from Roper Hospital after many years as a medical secretary in the Blood Bank at Roper and MUSC. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by a daughter: Rhita Wood Covello (Eddie), and sons: Richard M. Wood (Peggy) and Steven D. Wood (Diana), and sister: Mary F. Anson, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The relatives and friends of Viola are invited to attend her funeral services on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 2 o’clock at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home; burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
