Violeta was born in Pangasinan, Phillipines on December 13, 1954. She was the daughter of Saturino Mercado and Felomina Elegado. She was the second youngest of 9 siblings. Violeta loved being outdoors and working in the garden. She was an animal lover especially for her little Calypso.
Violeta is survived by Mamerto Mercado, Carmelita Allison (Ron and Heather), Mercedes Mercado, Ismeal Mercado and Menchito Mercado. She was preceded in death by Narciso Mercado, Saturnino Merado Jr, Nenita Mercado and Rogelio Mercado.
