

Walter H. "Buddy" DuBose, Jr. peacefully went into eternal rest on November 7, 2015. He was born in Sumter County August 1, 1942 to Walter H. DuBose, Sr. and Mary Alice Baker DuBose. Buddy loved playing tennis and baseball, sailing in regattas in a boat he built, running marathons, golfing and woodworking. A graduate from North Charleston High School, airplane mechanic for the USAF during Vietnam and a woodhull specialist (minesweeper) for SupShip of Charleston and retired as dock master in 1997. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa M. DuBose of Goose Creek; Grandchildren, Austin T. Duncan of Summerville and Amanda H. Duncan of Charleston; Sister, Velva DuBose Patterson of Adairsville, GA; Brother and Sister-in-law, Robert L. and Linda DuBose of Summerville, SC; Stepdaughters and Stepson-in-law Cindi S. And Patrick Rhodes of Simpsonville, KY and Deborah Skinner of Charlotte, NC; Step Grandchildren, W. Campbell Rhodes; T. Anderson Rhodes; Christopher E. Skinner; Nicholas C. Daniels; Bethany A. Butler. Step Great Grandchild; William E. Skinner. The family will receive friends at Carolina Memorial Funeral 6-8 PM on Monday, November 9, 2015. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2015 11 am at Cathedral of Praise North Charleston with a burial at Bethany Cemetery, Charleston, SC.
