

Wayne J. Glover was a devoted husband, loving father, proud Navy veteran, and a man of quiet strength and unwavering integrity. Born on June 10, 1946, Wayne lived a life full of purpose, compassion, and deep commitment to his family, country, and community. He passed away on July 27, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and resilience.
Wayne honorably served in the United States Navy from June 10, 1964 to December 10, 1966, where he was stationed aboard the USS Triton (586) in Norfolk, Virginia. His service was marked by dedication, discipline, and a deep sense of duty. In recognition of his honorable service, Wayne was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.
Following his military service, Wayne pursued a career in technology and education, working as a Technical Engineer at Trident Technical College. His work reflected his passion for learning and his desire to help others grow through knowledge and innovation.
On November 25, 2006, Wayne married the love of his life, Annette Glover. Their union was filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support for one another. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, family, and shared purpose.
Wayne was the proud father of Joyce Church, Teresa Coleman, Lois Glover Snider, Joy M. Glover, Wayne Glover Jr., Shelly Glover, Stephanie Glover Barrineau, Andre Toro, grandfather to 10 grandchildren. His guidance, humor, and unconditional love shaped their lives and will continue to inspire them for generations to come.
A man of deep curiosity and intellect, Wayne had a lifelong passion for reading, history, and was an avid PBS watcher. He found joy in learning about the past and sharing that knowledge with others, often sparking thoughtful conversations and reflections.
Wayne will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his thoughtful presence, and the way he made others feel seen and valued. Though he is no longer with us, Wayne’s memory lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
There will be a Visitation on August 23, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at New Covenant Church of God
304 S Pine St., Summerville, SC 29483. The Service will follow at 11:00 am. A Burial will be held at 1:00 pm at Carolina Memorial Gardens, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406.
