

Bill was born on December 5, 1932, in New Kensington, PA to the late William Zdanowich and Helen Jaworski Zdanowich.
He is survived by the love of his life, Joan May Payne Danovich, and daughters, Pamela McClellen (Roger) of Goose Creek, SC and Brendora Scott (Gary) of Summerville, SC, and grandchildren Travis McClellen, Ryan Scott and Ella Scott, as well as, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Brett William McClellen, and sisters, Virginia, Constance, Theadora (Boots), and Barbara.
Bill was a 20 year veteran of the United States Air Force and also retired from Bayer Chemical after 18 years as an inventory specialist.
In addition to his beloved family, Bill loved playing golf and watching his Pittsburg Steelers play football. Prior to the progression of his disease, some of the most common adjectives used when describing Bill was feisty, mischievous, and roadrunner. His favorite motto was paraphrased from a country song that went something like this…“I ain't as good as I once was, but I'm better than I ever was."
A public visitation for family and friends will be held at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home for Bill on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, located at 7113 Rivers Ave, North Charleston, South Carolina 29406. A military honors graveside ceremony will follow immediately after visitation.
