William Luther Roper

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Graveside Service at 12:30 PM, Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Carolina Memorial Gardens, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Sunday.

William was born in Rock Hill, South Carolina on September 13, 1949. He was the son of Luther Mullinax Roper and Barbara A. Roper. He graduated Chicora High school in 1967 before proudly serving his country in the U.S. Navy as a FTG during Vietnam. William retired from CSX Railroad.

He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed golfing and watching westerns. He was a member of the VFW, NRA, Bass Master and American Legion. His family will always remember how considerate, determined, kind and generous he was and his true love for his family.

William is survived by his daughters, Ali Roper and Morgan Creel; his grandchildren, Brianna, A’ Niyah and Z’ariyah and his sisters, Patsy R. Johnson (Dale) and Julia R. Jones (Chuck). He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Debi and a granddaughter, Serenity Frazier.
