Brothers and Sisters, we want to celebrate the life and legacy of a truly remarkable soul. Sister, Aunt and Ninang Amelia G Lutana, whose journey on this Earth began on the 14th of May, 1949, in the lush and spirited lands of the Philippines. Her spirit took flight to the Lord's embrace on the 26th of September, 2024, in North Hollywood, California, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, and thoughtfulness.
Educated and wise, Sister Mellie nurtured her mind with the pursuit of knowledge, earning herself a Bachelor's degree that served as a foundation for the wisdom she shared so freely. Her generous spirit shone brightly, touching lives in ways that words can scarcely capture. She lived her life as a testament to the power of giving, her hands forever extended in support and her heart a sanctuary for those in need.
Our Beloved Mellie walked this world with a loving grace, embodying the very essence of thoughtfulness. Her kindness was a gentle whisper in a world that often roars, a reminder of the gentle strength that lies in quiet acts of compassion.
In times such as these, we turn to the Good Book for comfort, and I am reminded of the words of the Apostle Paul, who said, "And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love." (1 Corinthians 13:13). Our Beloved Mellie lived by these words, her every action a testament to the greatest of virtues.
Let us carry forth the memory of Amelia G Lutana, not with heavy hearts, but with a celebration of the love she shared and the lives she brightened. Her spirit, a beacon of generosity, thoughtfulness, and love, will forever guide us like a lighthouse, leading us back to the warmth of her memory and the lessons she left us. Amen.
