OM OM NAMAH SHIVAYA Arjun Dev Bhalla – A Great Man Born in what is now Lahore, Pakistan, on August 13, 1931, Daddy welcomed the world with a big “Good Morning.” Leaving Lahore with no possessions, the Bhalla family moved to New Delhi, India, during the Partition of India in 1947. Mr. Bhalla, our beloved Daddy, received his degree in architecture from Baroda University in Gujarat. Thereafter, from 1952–1977, he worked as an architect at Punjab National Bank. Daddy married his wife Swarn Lata on May 7, 1956. In 1977, Daddy and his family moved to America. In America, he fully enjoyed his life, from working various jobs to spending time with his family. After retiring, Daddy productively spent his time counting quarters, perfecting his handwriting, and making phone calls to everyone he cared about.

Arjun uncle always had a smile on his face even through the toughest times...He was always able to bond with me easily and sometimes I felt like he loved going to Chucky Cheese more than I did. It is unbelievable that one moment we get his laughing morning calls and the next moment the laughing turns into crying. I bet he wishes that people are happy because he's in peace and not sad because he's gone. I know we miss him so much and wish we could make more memories but now we have to cherish the memories we had with him and always remember that he will always be with us wherever we go. I miss you a lot Arjun uncle and I know you miss me too, and all I wish is that you are having the happiest moments of your life, without any pain.

Bhalla uncle was a very lovable person. He was always smiling, and always complaining that we do not visit his house enough. A good friend and colleague of my father (late Shri Krishan Kumar Chopra). They worked together at Punjab National Bank. We will definitely miss him and always remember him.
