It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Carmen Leyton, born May 15th, 1955 in Tela Atlántida, Honduras, CA, who left us on Sunday, October 26th, 2025 in San Jose, California at the age of 70 years old, due to an unexpected battle with Cancer, she fought bravely.
Carmen was a loving mother, dog mom and a cherished aunt and sister. A longtime resident of the San Fernando Valley, Carmen had a successful jewelry business often spending much of her time in the L.A. Jewelry District; life pivoted and she shifted into early retirement enjoying life’s simple pleasures, she enjoyed contributing to her community with warmth and a friendly smile. She loved succulent gardening, drinking tea, Christmas, phone calls with old friends, playing FarmVille, discovering new restaurants around town and was an unapologetic shopper.
Her greatest love was her family and dogs - Millie, Sofia, Coco and Bella. She leaves behind her beautiful daughters and handsome sons, Carmen Nocero (Patrick), Cher Brigit Reynaud, Polo Morales and Ashley Leyton. Carmen was affectionately called Wia by her grandchildren and her legacy continues on through: Mackensie, Juan Ignacio “Nachito”, Miguel, and Franchesca. She also leaves behind lots of nieces and nephews, who loved their Tia Carmen.
Carmen is survived by her siblings, Luis Felipe Moran of Arleta, CA; Patricia Moraga of Panorama City, CA and Daniel Moran of North Hollywood, CA. She is preceded in death by her husband Fernando Leyton, her father Jose Luis Moran, her mother Juanita Taylor and her brother Angel Moran.
Her family remembers her with deep affection and gratitude for her endless love, support and generosity. Carmen's beauty and charm left an indelible mark on all who knew her. A special message from those she loved dearly: "We will miss you more than words can say, your love will remain in our hearts forever. May you rest in peace and watch over us, until we see you again”
