I taught Dranel when he was in 7th grade at Frost MS.  I was heartbroken when I heard the news.  I have such fond memories of Dranel in my History class.  He was a kind kid who got along with everyone.  I used to tell him he had a great, "Presidential" name.  I even took to calling him "Mr. President" in my class.  He always took responsibility for himself if he messed up and made a mistake.  He had so much promise and such a good nature, I knew he would be successful in life.  Words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss.  Please know that your community is praying for you and sending healing thoughts your way during this tough time.  

Dranel had a talent that was unique of it's kind.  Watching  him  from the tops of the bleachers on the field zig zagging plays  in and out and  around to find the way to break through to score those touchdowns.  Always  full of love giving you a hug coming and going no matter what.  He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

The fondest memory I have of Dranel is when he called my husband (Brandell’s & Shaun’s father) Papa when he was just a little boy 😇

Dranel was a thoughtful and caring young man, with so much energy and life to live. He was always going out of his way to give you a hug and making sure you were ok. His heart was full of so much love to give. His smile was inviting. His voice was calming. His presence was electrifying. 

Dranel adored his family and friends so much, and he made sure you knew it every time he saw you.  His embrace was a powerful connection. 

His love for football was present on and off the field. His talent was unstoppable. Watching Dranel on the field was pure excitement.

We will forever hold Dranel in our hearts and cherish the fond memories we have with him.
