I almost called you yesterday, for a split second I thought your were still here. I wanted to make sure you were drinking enough water, like I always did. I'm having a hard time canceling your cell phone. This just doesn't seem real to me...I miss you mom :(

Grandma, 

There aren't any words to explain the amount of love I have for you or just how much I will miss you. My life will never be same without you. I thank God I was able to have such a special relationship with my great grandmother. I will miss all of the talks we had and the memories we shared. You were such a big part of my life! I will forever miss your laugh and smile! I can't wait to see you and give you a big hug and kiss! I love you forever!!!

May God bless your family Elvira! God has called you, one of his angels back to heaven. I never met Elvira personally, but know this.I known your daughter Sylvia for years, granddaughter Susana and grandson. These weeks have been the hardest for me because i had to say goodbye to the best mom,grandma,great grandma, and even a great great grandma. She will always be with us. Goodbye Grandma i love and will miss you forever.

Te quiero tanto Abuelita!! Me ases mucha falta, gracias por todo el amor que me diste, y gracias por el ejemplo que me diste de ser madre. Como tu nadie abra nunca!!

I could write a book about you, but right now I'm not ready to share.  All I know is I miss you like crazy :'(

Elvira was a wonderful caring person, I'm so happy that I had the opportunity to know her, she treated my son like one of her own, she raised a beautiful family rip Elvira

I have many wonderful memories of my grandmother because she was the most special grandma anyone could ever have! My grandma wasn't ordinary. She had qualities beyond wonderful. My grandma loved everyone she met, regardless of how people treated her... she held no grudges. My grandma had the biggest heart! 

My grandma didn't ask for much, as a matter of fact, while cleaning her room after her passing 99% of what she had were things that were given to her. She never asked for anything for herself, it was always for other people. Her happiness was her families happiness. 

My best memories are going to McCambridge park as a family, and I mean like a family of 50-100 :).... she would cook for all of us- she would make the carne asada while all her grandchildren played on the swings, soccer, "21" or visited Tommy's for the free pickles :)...  She was our rock. 

My other favorite memory of my grandma was her 77th birthday- where we all got together and celebrated her... the video I posted earlier last week showed how simple my grandmother was.... all she got was a cake and all her family around her and the smile on her face while we all sang to her was unforgettable... she was truly happy!

My last wonderful memory of my grandma was calling her the day before she passed- coincidentally she spoke to our children and my husband.... she told Mia how beautiful she was and how she couldn't believe how fast she was growing. She told her she was so proud of her that she even spoke about her to her nurses. 

She told Enzo what a good looking kid he was and that soon he would turn out to be as wonderful and handsome as his older brothers... she also thought she spoke to Mason (but it was still Enzo on the phone)... she told "Mason" how she remembered the very first time she met them (he was 2 and Sab was 5) and how she loved to see that they were very loved by me and that they loved me back.... She said it made her heart happy. 

She then spoke to my husband and told him how lucky he was to have me in his life and other beautiful things.... 

When I took the phone back, she told me how fortunate I was for having a wonderful husband and family. She always ended our conversations the same way.... "Thank you for everything you do for me. I pray for you every night. I ask God and La Virgen de Guadalupe and La Virgen the Talpa to control your sickness and make you healthy" and lastly she always ended with giving me my blessing.....

I will forever be thankful to God for that opportunity the day before he took her back.

I always thought I was special but it turns out she did this with many of us... which just goes to show you she gave all of her- to all of us. She made all of us feel special.
