Dear Lucille and Lenny and the Guastella family 
Our sincere condolences. 
We know how painful this loss is, the empty feeling and the acute missing of her feels.
I wish there would be something I could do to take the pain away. 
Mrs Guastella has been so much more than just an amazing piano teacher. 
She became part of our family and we feel her loss so much.
We will forever cherish the memories we have with her and Mr Guastella and Lucille and Lenny and your family. 
May she rest in peace next to Mr Guastella and you her family find the strength to carry on and honor her memory and will.



Dear wonderful treasured friend Emilia , How honored I feel to have known you  for almost 30 years and that my daughter Hayley
had the privilege to study piano with you from a small child to adulthood - and to make music her career.  You brought all of your knowledge and talent from the most prestigious school Juillard (where you studied)  to Hayley and instilled a love of music in her life forever.  
Alex, Hayley and all of my family and I loved you and know that you will be playing the piano with the angels. Forever in our hearts.

I have known Mrs. Guastella for many years. I could never call her Emilia, I suppose because I put her in a special place, not only as my son’s piano teacher 40 years ago, but my 2 grandsons. 
We all began our relationship with Mrs. Guastella when the boys were about 6 years old. Not only did they learn to play, but she always gave them their favorite songs to make learning more enjoyable (interspersed with the classics). 
Through the years Mrs. Guastella prepared them for their school performances and holiday celebrations. She had so much joy watching them perform. Needless to say, a special highlight was their recitals. She worked tirelessly, with help, making sure everything was just right!
Mrs. Guastella was my friend. We enjoyed spending time together sharing life’s many happy and sad moments - we enjoyed talking about our many pets that we acquired through the years; but, above all, she loved telling me all about her family, especially her children and grandchildren. 

On behalf of my family - Eric, Jennifer, Jack and Lucas, we send our love and condolences to all of Emilia’s family.

You played a very special role in my life, Mrs. Guastella (as you will always be known to me). Learning classical pieces under your careful guidance never felt like a chore. Instead, I felt drawn to meet your expectations. You nurtured in me a love for music and an appreciation for practice. You opened within me creative aspiration and have forever shaped how I interpret the arts. I am barely a pianist today, but I can still land a few chords and play a piece or two that you helped me master many many years ago. Thank you for being who you are and for playing such a special role in your pupils' lives. 

The Wonderful memories that I have with my beautiful Aunt who will be missed dearly, I will cherish always!  I'm grateful for the time we had together and all the lovely conversations. Stylish,  classy and beautiful inside and out not to mention musically talented, a true one of a kind human! Rest in peace

You will be missed and how!  Your warmth, your friendly voice, the beaming smile and the hospitality of both you and Mr. Guastella as I would sit patiently on your couch,  whilst my son took his piano lessons.   I feel with your passing,  a special chapter has come to a close, I dare say with a grand finale……..cause,  you lived life fully and embraced  it, as if it were a grand performance.  Your magical fingers taught and played countless music, and  the fond memories will be forever imprinted in our hearts.    I remember the completed  piano lessons that would get a star sticker on their pages…….for us our beloved Mrs. Guastella will now shine from above,  she will be a STAR among stars.  

Very sad to hear of Mrs. Guastella's passing.  She played such a huge role in my life growing up in Los Angeles.  Music was always very important to our family and I am thankful for the years time I spent with her through piano lessons and piano recitals.  Thank you for sharing that world with me, Mrs. Guastella, it is something I have treasured and will continue to cherish for the rest of my life.

She would give her students little busts of famous classical composers to celebrate milestones in our musical education, and I still have them!  To her son, and her daughter: my sincerest condolences for your mother's passing.

RIP Emilia. You were an amazing mother-in-law. Always pleasant and always sweet. We shared so many wonderful times together which I will always remember. I feel so grateful to have known you.
