John was always driven by creativity and independence. After graduating from La Cañada High School, his entrepreneurial adventure began. His passion for creating something of his own was inspiring. Over the years, he pursued a variety of business ventures, including a recording studio, a speaker company, a limousine company, a deli called Johnathan's, and a real estate inspection company, all while continuing to help his father with the family property.
John was a wonderful and deeply loved father to his two children, Vincent and Sydney. He managed life as a single dad while ensuring his kids had a joyful and enriching childhood. He took pride in attending field trips, school plays, sports games, and any other activity that supported his children.
He also valued being involved in the community. John was a member of the Spartan Booster Club, helping to organize events that raised funds for La Cañada High School, and he lent a hand at various school events over the years.
John loved his family and was extremely proud of his roots. He was always present for his children and believed wholeheartedly that Vincent and Sydney could achieve anything they set their hearts and minds to. He planned many family vacations, including a memorable trip to Australia, where he introduced his children to a large part of their extended family, an experience that meant a great deal to him.
In addition to being a devoted father, John cherished his friendships and considered many of his longtime friends as close as family. Some of his fondest memories were their trips to Las Vegas, where he reunited with his favorite people and, hopefully, won a little money.
John's laugh and smile were contagious. Alongside the many things he cared deeply about, he also loved classic rock music, had a passion for sports cars, and enjoyed sitting at the sushi bar of his favorite restaurant, Yoshida's.
John is survived by his children, Vincent and Sydney, and will be deeply missed by many more.
We thank our family and friends for their love and support. Our dad was one-of-a-kind, and he was so loved by many. He will forever be in our hearts.
"I look for you in all of the things you loved. That's where I find you."
