Scoop was always positive and always had a thirst for life. The thing I admired most about him was that he never gave up. He always kept pushing. Most admirably, he did it with a smile. I always knew Scoop as as man that tried to maintain positivity as much as possible. He was independent and a curious person by nature. He was always exploring and always kept his mind open. Because of this he always taught me something interesting, especially as kids. He was not a man that was prejudiced and always extended his hand to you as long as you took it. He was known evewhere he went. 

An artist by nature, Scoop was always sketching because he was drawn to art. He also loved music and would always be blasting his stereo. Whether at home, or his car, music would always be playing. 

I know that the impact that he made on me and others will live on, and that gives me a little comfort. 

We love you Scoop and hope you truly are resting easy. 

I don’t know where to start, but I have a feeling I knew where your heart was on that Sunday night. The day we heard the news was the day the Raiders won on the very last second of the game. I know the silver and black was running through your veins because your sister and I were jumping with joy. I even thought about you on that very moment and on my that same night you gave no one a sign nor you said a goodbye.  You were gone before we knew it and only GOD knows why. I know you’ve touched many lives and you’ll never be forgotten. I’ve seen these past days that we all loved you.  I’ve been hearing so many great memories and it has touched my heart. I even had a conversation with one of your friends and they’ve expressed many friends were inspired by you while growing up to be young men. People looked up to you and I can see your personality touched many lives. My son’s exact words was that he was a funny guy. He will remember you by making your nieces and everyone in the room laugh. 

I’m glad we had a chance to meet and I want to say that for the rest of our lives we will miss you. Our hearts are broken and part of us went with you on the day God took you home. I know your in a better place and I thank God he made you our friend, son, brother and uncle while you were here on earth. R4L. 

May God be with his family and give them the comfort and strength to bear this loss. My condolences goes out to his family.

You were always a cool person bro: down for the cause and always there to listen to others. You had everyone cracking up with the impersonations and joking around. 

You went ahead of us and I know that our merciful lord Jesus Christ will have mercy and hear your mother’s prayers; who, from what I remember, was a very devout Christian woman. Never under-estimate the prayers of a mother. May our lord Jesus Christ keep you in the joy of being in heaven. Peace out carnal.

We met in second grade and instantly bonded. We quickly became so inseparable, many kids thought we were brothers. I’m not one for titles but I was honored to have been assigned that title. Throughout our school years our friendship strengthened on a foundation of trust and loyalty. It was filled with many joys, adventures, formative experiences and lifelong memories. 

Manny will forever be etched in my heart. He was talented, creative, funny, charismatic, caring, good hearted, good natured, adventurous and brave. He always cared for his sisters and his parents. All of this and more, much more, was what made my friend, my brother. Let’s not forget that he was always in style and looking fresh with his slick hair. 

We would hang out before school, during school and after school. Now, we’ll just have to hang out in heaven - where I know you are. Where angles surround you and God himself holds you in his arms.

I will always remember how cool, funny unselfish  my brother was and how much I looked up to him as I was growing up. He introduced me to graffiti art, films, all kinds of great music from folk, blues, rock, reggae and of course hip hop! We would love to watch KCET shows together from wild animals to Bob Ross lol. He was the best! Brother I will carry you in my heart until I see you again❤️
