I learned of Juli’s passing a few years ago, and I’ve continued to think of her off and on in all the time since. We met as online friends when we were just kids - couldn’t have been more than 14 or 15 - and stayed in contact for years until we lost touch. 

Today, I found a cluster of letters she wrote me way back then, and thought I’d finally write something on her memorial page. She was a beautiful person, and someone who made such a big impression on my life back then that I continue to think of her now at 36. The world lost a spark with her passing, but she’s in my mind and heart always.

Dear Juli Ann, I was just thinking of you today… I remember how you approached me after I finished my solo, during the holiday concert rehearsal. You were so authentic and generous in your support of me, as a fellow singer. 
We did not know each other very well. But upon our first meeting and conversation in the LAVC music department hallway, you left a beautiful and indelible impression on me. I wish you eternal peace and lots of laughter, as you lead all the other angels in song… 👼 🎵 👼 🎶 Much Love. 

I found out Feb/24/2021 that Juli passed. I met you when I was 10/11 years old. My best friend. You were a HUGE part of my childhood. Kind, loving, giving person and one of the funniest people I have ever met. I grew up very poor and you never judged me. I didn’t have many friends but I had you. We hung out through pre-teen years into our late 20s. You were a net-positive in my life. I almost feel like I didn’t deserve your friendship. I still can’t believe it. My heart is heavy and my mind in disbelief. 

You have given me the BEST memories of my entire life, and now I am struggling to accept that you, my angel... are now a memory. 

I love you Juli. One of the best things to ever happen to me. Loving and kind to myself, my family and my children that I am so happy you were able to meet and enjoy.

 I remember when my kids were toddlers, you would comfort them by telling them you were employed by a company that sends people out.. to kill monsters, and you were one of those people. You said this so they wouldn’t be scared at night. And it worked... they would rest well when you came by.  To this day, my kids have your name saved in their phone as “Juli, The Monster Killer”. We all miss you so much.

I miss Juli every day. One of my best friends. We sang together, danced, explored nature, people watched, or simply sat and vibed, even at 4am.

One time, she found a long-lost friend of mine that I hadn't seen for 7 years and was worried about. She found her and showed me she survived and was happy. 7 years of worry-tears poured out and she hugged me until I felt better. 💕

Juli loved creatures big and small and taught me SO much about rabbits and guinea pigs. I pay forward this information often to help spread Juli's reach of caring for animals. Her love lives on! 🐇🐹💜

I sang with Juli-Ann for many years in the Philharmonic Choir of LAVC.  She was always on time at rehearsals, and her voice was always on the correct note---and I suspect that in her dance classes that her step was always on point!  She is missed, of course.

I am so saddened to hear that Juli-Ann has passed. When my wife, Lili, and I started participating in choir at LAVC, it was always Juli-Ann that would give us a hug and a smile. Later we would see her at other concerts and other places and she would still light up to see us.

She was truly a special and warm person and we both are missing her already.

I just found out Juli-Ann passed on 1/7/21. Juli-Ann was a selfless, determined, and intuitive artist. She was always willing to go out of her way to support others. For years, she helped  me at Los Angeles Valley College, wardrobing the choirs, serving as the choir librarian and helping to organize numerous concerts and choir clinics for the College Choir and Chamber Singers. All of these tasks were pretty arduous , but Juli-Ann made them look effortless. 
  She was a kind person who would remember dreams and goals of others that might be simply mentioned to her in a passing conversation. She would quietly hold those aspirations to her heart as if they were her own. Then, even years later, she would thoughtfully remember to ask the person  who shared that conversation  how things were going in their pursuit of their plans and dreams or their losses or challenges. I just learned of this as well. I was in several choirs with her at LAVC, directed by Professor Glenn Carlos, where she was usually the choir manager. She became a very dear friend and would always greet me with a warm hug and smile every time I saw her. Her beautiful spirit will be missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.

I've only just learned of this, and it's hard to believe. I met Juli Ann in Mike Julian's recording class at Valley college while I was assisting him. It was always a pleasure to see her and have a chat, and I had it in the back of my head that she would be among that small set of Mike's students that I would keep in touch with. She was a kind person, intelligent and considerate, and I am saddened by her passing.
