Kazi Abdul Hamid, age 87, of Los Angeles, California, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2025. Born in India, Kazi earned a master’s degree and devoted over 25 years of service to the City of Los Angeles in the field of community development. His work left a lasting impact on the neighborhoods and people he served, reflecting a life committed to progress and public service.
Kazi is survived by his beloved wife, Adrun.
A religious ceremony in his honor will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Pierce Brothers Valhalla, 10621 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91606.
Following the service, a graveside ceremony will take place from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
