1924 - 2021
On Tuesday, June 22, 2021, Margaret Rose Lowder, 97, of Santa Clarita CA passed away of natural causes. The only child of Hazel Frances Power and Lester Power, Margaret was born in Vallejo, California on June 17, 1924.
She lived her early years on the Navajo Indian Reservation in Fort Defiance, New Mexico, and her high school years in Flagstaff, Arizona. Margaret and her attorney husband James Lowder moved to the Santa Clarita Valley in 1966 and were very active in social and charitable organizations in the community. James preceded her in death in 1999.
Margaret is survived by her children, Fred Lowder of Canyon Country, Laurie Bilbruck of Huntington Beach, and her grandchildren Christopher, Jared, and Alexandra. Margaret Rose Lowder led a life of commitment to her family, of love, of determination to provide a better life for her kids – to pass along her positive outlook, her unselfish persona, her wonderful values to her children and grandchildren. In the end, she succeeded.
A funeral service for Margaret will be held Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Pierce Brothers Valhalla, 10621 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91606, followed by a graveside service from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM.
