Maricel Evangelista Avellana was born on May 17, 1954 in Manila, Philippines. She was 70 years old when she went to be with the Lord. Maricel is survived by her only daughter, Jamichelle Saure. Maricel is the eldest daughter of Angel and Rosario Avellana and had one sister (Susan) and four brothers (Francis, Eduardo, Luis and Albert). Maricel was a quiet but very generous individual. She always made her friends and family feel special. She spent most of her professional life at Genex Services working for the company for more than 30 years. She was a great and loving grandmother and mom. She had a pure soul with a golden heart.
A memorial service/liturgy for Maricel will be held Friday, February 28, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Pierce Brothers Valhalla, 10621 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91606. Following the memorial service/liturgy will be an inurnment service from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Pierce Brothers Valhalla Memorial Park and Mortuary, 10621 Victory Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 91606.
