Mary Katherine McDowell, age 101, of Oakland, California, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 26, 2022. Born on May 4, 1921, in Kentucky to Nannie Powell and James Elijah Cole, Mary dedicated over 25 years to her career as an administrative secretary in the healthcare industry.
She is survived by her son, Dwight McDowell, and her daughter, Gloria J. Armstead. Mary was preceded in death by her father, James Elijah Cole, and her mother, Nannie Powell.
