Wonderful memories take me back to over 65 years to Costello Street racing home built cars on Jr.’s custom slot car track and Sadako Mary fixing me breakfast after completing some odd jobs and telling me stories about Japan. I seem to remember John (Jr. younger brother and the James Dean of the neighborhood ) with Skeeter living across the street. The 1950’s near  perfect years growing up in Southern CA and with ;no children of the own, every kid on Costello felt Jr. and Mary were part of our extended family and left us all with lasting memories. Amazing years, Jr. worked at Chevrolet Fisher Body and Mary was a stay at home housewife , they had a Chevy in the driveway TV and a chicken in the pot. …the good ole days!
