away in his sleep on May 28, 2018. He was born on February 1, 1935 to Josephine Pizzo and Dominick
Andrizzi. When his mother passed away, Michael was 2 years old. He was raised by his grandmother and
later sent to Boys Town where he learned Boxing, Archery and Tennis. He was a natural born tennis
player and was even considered playing against the best tennis player at the time, Pancho Gonzales.
At 17, he joined the United States Army's Airborne Unit to fight during the Korean War. His favorite
station during the war was Germany. He said the people were friendly, the food was great and the
music was wonderful. After his service, he came back to California and later met Patricia Dalessio, the
love of his life, who became his wife. He had many jobs but worked as a Painting Contractor for many
years. He adopted her two children, Richard and Diana, and they also had a daughter together, Gina. They
were married for 48 years and have three grandchildren, Danielle, Julianna, Michael, and their loving dog,
Nugget. Recently he gained another grandchild, Chris, husband of Julianna, a Great Grand dog, Nala, a
son in law, Mike (husband of Diana) and daughter in law, Linda (wife of Richard). He was so proud of his
family and would boast about all of them. He took great pride in knowing they were all strong, hard
working, independent, forward thinking individuals. He loved music and dancing, especially
going dancing at the German Restaurant which was always a good time. He loved fishing, hunting and
treasure hunting. He also loved his country and was so proud that he had served our Country and was
Thankful for our Freedoms…he was a true Patriot. It was befitting of him to pass on Memorial Day 2018.
Our family laughed, cried, yelled and smiled but through it all there was lots of love. He loved his family
and would do anything for us. He lived a full life…one adventure after another and now he is onto his
next. We love you. You will “Always be in Our Hearts and Never Forgotten”.
