

Modesto Pobre Ambrosio

Modesto Pobre Ambrosio, affectionately known as "Moding" or "Medy," was born on November 4, 1939, in Mayantoc, Tarlac, Philippines. He was the son of Julio Ambrosio and Fidela Pobre.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Fely Marcos, and their children: Aldrin, Ronel, Erwin, and Sharon. Modesto was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: McAldys, Arianne Mae, Avery Meg, Grant, Justin, Lindsey, Erin Krisha, and Marcus Aidan, and a great-grandfather to Jessalynn, alongside his late great-grandson, Tracy McAllen. Family brought him immense joy, and he dedicated his life to nurturing their dreams.
As a dedicated educator and passionate farmer, Modesto embraced the legacy of his family, who relocated to Cordon, Isabela, for better opportunities. He began his teaching career in Cordon, where he established his first home with Fely. The couple later moved to Sta. Ignacia, Tarlac, where they rebuilt their life together through diligence and commitment. During this time, Modesto furthered his studies, earning a Master's degree in Education and attaining the position of Master Teacher II. With over 30 years of experience as an elementary teacher, he inspired countless students through his passion for learning and his hard-working spirit. After retiring, he moved to the United States, worked briefly, and later engaged in activities he enjoyed until his last days.
A celebration of his life will be held on November 12, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM at Pierce Brothers Valhalla Memorial Park and Mortuary, located at 10621 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91696. He will be laid to rest in the Philippines, with the date to be announced.
Family and friends are welcome to honor his memory.
