I love you very much, and I miss you so much. Thank you for loving me and taking care of me when Mom and Dad needed you. Mom tells me every day how much you and Baba Pacin loved me and will continue to love me up in heaven. I will love you and Baba Pacin forever and ever. Dear Tiya Pacita... I really can't believe you're  gone. I'll forever miss you. I kept grieving over your loss to myself and very privately, but today I wailed like a baby that first, I cannot attend your funeral and second, because I lost a second mother who I dearly love.  Days before my family and I came to America, we talked. When I told you that I planned to fly to New York to be near my sister, Bing, who lived in Toronto, you said "Why not land in Los Angeles?" since I was pregnant and that my whole family can stay in your house until I give birth and then I can decide after. I was hesitant because I've never lived with another family ever.  I took your offer and am really thankful to God that I did. You gladly told me that you were willing to bring 2 suitcases for me ahead of our trip. That was so sweet of you. We landed in LA and you and your family welcomed us warmly. We lived in your home for about a year, fed us, gave us things, and took good care of us. All of you took turns watching Holly. Holly was the first born living in Longridge since your grandkids were all in Cebu and all my cousins - Janet, Jay, and Joan - who were living with you were still single. We will forever be grateful and will treasure the memories when we lived with you all. You were my confidant in all things. I have spent countless hours hanging out and chatting with you at your dining table. Everytime I felt lonely, I'd come to your house unannounced. I haven't said anything, but you felt it. I'd spend my whole day there at Longridge and even well into the night and after midnight. You always fed me and I always had take home. I am truly sorry for not telling you that one thing but am glad I finally did and I really felt your concern and love. I can write on and on about your generosity, kindness, love, and support but I might take the whole space of your obituary memory page.  I love you so much and you will forever be in my heart. Keep smiling in heaven. 

Lola Pacita, you built the foundation of who we call our family and have shaped who we are today. A major reason why our family is huge is because of you and your big heart, Lola. We’re so grateful to have been able to have felt your love and care for people.

Lola Pacita, you were the first person in our family to move to the United States from the Philippines back in the 80s. And you came alone. You worked countless caregiving and housekeeping jobs in order to secure your own apartment (and later a house) and to send money back home to the Philippines. Within your humble apartment, you’d invite then-strangers over to chat and eat. There was never a time that someone would be hungry while at your home. Every time we had a family get-together, no matter how big or small, it was always a feast. You always greeted everyone with a warm welcome and hooked each of us into your arms for a hug.

I'm so glad I got a chance to meet and get to know you. You were one of the warmest and most caring people I have ever met. Thank you so much for all those shirts and sweaters from Macy's that you gave me as holiday gifts!

When I was "incapacitated" and we needed your help with Isaac, I witnessed first-hand your dedication to your family. You always came to our aid, rain or shine, forgetting about your own numerous aches and pains.

I'm so sorry you left us. We will always remember you with love and gratitude.

It felt very unreal that Lola Pacita had passed away after a month Baba passed away. I have remembered the time I've spent with Lola Pacita at her house. All those birthday parties, family get-togethers, the beach, the porohana, and Christmas parties. I recalled the moment where she traveled with us to Florida for a baseball tournament and was having a great time despite the weather conditions and whether we were winning or losing. Unfornately, us grandchildren and those who weren't able to see Lola Pacita in person were sad because she had to be hospitalized and was in critical condition.  Her effort and support for her family were unwavering, thank you Lola Pacita for being our grandmother. May you rest in peace with Baba.

Your passing was very heartbreaking news. I first heard of this when my dad got home from the hospital. It was the same as Baba's passing. I was playing my game, having fun and then, boom! the news. Even though I kept a straight face and looking like I didn't care, I felt mourning  on the inside. You were the first to greet us when we came to America. You loved and cared everyone and respected everyone equally. I really wanted to see you again.

Nang Pacita Dalumpines was not only my best friend for so long up to the end of her time but also a kind of elder sister that we talk and share our personal life, that's why I feel so sad  and broke my heart that I can't hold my tears when I learn that she pass away. Lola Pacita, your loving heart enabled you to connect with others creating strong bonds that will never break. In all honesty, your passing still feels very surreal, and there are instances where I think I'll be seeing you in person again. Sometimes I get the slightest hope of greeting you at your door every weekend or even finding you in the kitchen making home-cooked meals during gatherings, but then I have to take a moment to realize that you're gone.

Although you're no longer with us physically, the memories I have of and with you keep your presence in my life strong. I can feel you in spirit, especially when I'm with our family. Thank you for always caring for us and for bringing us all together. You've impacted all of our lives greatly, and we miss and love you endlessly.

Dear Nanay, It hurts to know that you’re gone, but happy to know that you’re in a safer place. Thank you for everything that you for us, especially for Alex, JayB, and Ethan. You always made time to watch the boys’ baseball games and for being so proud of Alex’s joining pageants. We will miss you, your warm welcoming voice, your cooking, Jay most especially - Jay always loved your cooking. When I got here I didn’t know how to cook and I would always look at some recipe book. Jay one time told me to cook chicken adobo. And I did my best, I did it but when Jay opened the pot, he yelled, “my gosh! Why is this adobo pale? It’s not like Nanay’s! Yes, I cried and told you about what happened, so you taught me your secret recipe and that I will forever be thankful. Jay and I will forever be grateful that you were our Nanay, Lola to our kids and most especially grateful that God has chosen you to be my mother-in-law. We love you so much Nanay. Enjoy heaven with Baba Pacin. You will forever be in our hearts. 💕 

Lola, I already miss you. Whenever I visited our family I saw you, and your warm hospitality. You were always there. You were never angry with any of us and I felt your love. You were always smiling. You’ve done so much for our family and I am forever grateful for you. Without you our family would have never been this big. The most important lesson you taught me was to be kind, and to always smile & be happy . It makes me sad I couldn’t see you one last time in person. Rest In Peace in heaven with Baba, love you. 

When i was a little girl, my Mama Femia would always take me to Libertad during summer vacation. We would stay at Tiyo Pacin and Tiya Pacita's home. I remember Tiya Pacita as a quiet person, soft spoken, kindhearted, and always with a lovely smile on her face.  I seldom saw her get upset or angry or raise her voice. You would know if she was upset just by looking at her face. Her eyes and facial expression would say it all. She was firm especially when it comes to discipline and obedience.  I will surely miss her beautiful smile, beautiful face and beautiful being.

I was very hopeful when you left because you promised us you'd come back soon. You even told me about all of your plans when you come back.

It's still pretty surreal, you passing. We're all devastated that you left, but if there's one thing I learned from you, it's how great your trust in Him is. From when I was little, I could always remember you saying "Ang Ginoo ray mahibaw" and you'd carry on with your happy-go-lucky attitude that doesn't seem to be bothered about the possibility of things going wrong, and it amazingly almost never does!

Ever since I could remember, your coming home to the Philippines would be the highlight of my year. Daddy would always tell me to accompany you wherever you'd go. That means I get an unlimited"stay-out-late" pass because I'm with you.

I'd remember that people would light up when they see you, happily welcome you back and invite you into their homes. I could remember how loved you are by everyone.

Lola, your life is a celebration of the obstacles you've overcome and the opportunities you've made possible for your family.

You've touched so many lives and those lives changed for the better because they have you in it. But I can't seem to remember I got to thank you for how you changed mine.

Growing up, I was a mess of a kid. But I'd always make it a point to get good grades just so I could have good news to tell you when you called. You were always there to encourage me. I learned from you that a little generosity can go a long way.

The most important thing you taught me was forgiveness. So thank you, Lola Pacita. All the good in me was by your example. And I can't thank you enough for being the most loving, most supportive Lola anyone could ever ask for.

Thank you for always checking on me and my siblings. You need not worry about us, Lola. We got our strength and resilience from you.

My earliest memories are crying at Lola's house, having no one to play with, while all the adults laugh and sing for hours. 

My favorite memories are the games we have during christmas or birthdays, and the countless moments of joy. 

The funniest moments to see are those contagious laughter moments when someone says a joke then everyone laughs, then they laugh at how much they are laughing, then make more jokes and everyone laughs till they are out of breathe. It has happened a lot over the years. 

I am so grateful for the love and light that Lola Pacita have blessed me and my family with. 

I know Nanay Pacita for 30y.I meet my wife Josephine in their house by the bridge of Lucy ostan.I was delivering flowers to Lucy boss house and she asked me if I am a pilipino and I answered yes 110 percent pinoy. To make my story short Josi and I feel in love until now and we blessed with two kids Jr and Michael.NanayPacita is mother figure to my family their house is always open for us Nanay Pacita house is the most Holliday of all time . Thank you so much Nanay Pacita  our prayers is always to you . Love and remember Pison family.

You called  me always Tiya and talking to you is always a treat. Lola Pacita's house was the center of all birthdays, 4th of July , Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years celebrations. Eating great food and bonding with family and friends there was a huge part of my childhood. Thank you Lola <3.

I can't believe you're gone, Nay. I forget that you are no longer physically here with us until I see your obituary page or see your altar in my living room. Who knew that your longest vacation in Camotes would be your last one. You were so happy on your 82nd Birthday and the Surprise Party was a success! You were so overjoyed that you were speechless and emotional. You were so elated surrounded by people who loved and adored you. You and Titi Joel finally shared a birthday party together after so many years apart, but your birthdays are only a day apart!
From the messages I've read about you, you touched so many people's lives. You've helped so many, not just family, but friends. So many of my friends speak highly of you and Tatay Pacin. They say that our home was like their second home. You were always so friendly and hospitable to everyone who came to our house. You were known for your famous Banana Bread. Titi Joel recently mentioned how delicious your Banana Bread was. I especially liked your homemade tacos! Thank you, Nay, for all the sacrifices you and Tatay had to make to help our family. Leaving your family when I was just over a year old to come to America must've been very difficult for you! Thank you for always being there when we needed you. I know at times you felt lonely, because everyone is so busy with work and your grandkids with school and sports, but know that you were cared for and loved, Nay. We will miss your laugh and your "Oh, wow!" expression! Alex's favorite. He always says, I like how your Mom says, "Wow", she always adds an "Oh" before it. My last memory of you was when you were in the hospital already. This was the last video call when you were fully alert. Isaac greeted you and when you saw him, you said, "Hi, Isaac. Hello, my love." You said it with a smile and love in your eyes. Nay, you will always be in our hearts and mind. Your legacy will live on forever! We love you,  Nay! I love you, Lola Cita!-Isaac

Det måste vara minst 40 år vi inte har sett varandra. Jag åkte till Sverige vid 21-års åldern och har bott här sen dess. Jag har skickat till dig massor med vykort på nästan alla länder i Europa jag har spenderat min semester. Oftast tar jag tåget runtomkring Europa och runt Sveriges grannländer. Jag hoppas att du har fått alla vykorten som jag har skickat genom åren. 

Nalipay kaayo ko nga imo ko gitawag sa Messenger adtong June 17, 2020. Best surprise ever! We talked 9 times often sobra usa ka oras hangtud mosenyas ako bana nga luto na panihapon. Magtinabangay tag kwenta unsa orasa diha or diri para taymingon nga uli na ko from work or if di ba ko tulog sa kadlawn inig tawag nimo. But I can always call you any time, you said. So sorry I missed your last calls before you left US. Tried to reach you few times in Cebu/ Camotes but no answer. Nagplano ta dungan tag uli Cebu para reunionen gamay.

Hinumdum ko imo ko gipadalhan ug 20 💵 in a letter sa dalaga pa ko. So thankful for that, I really want you to know. You just gave me a sign that someone was thinking of me. From that time on I decided to be generous when I earn my own money.

Karon wala ka na. Lisod tingali paminawn nga nipanaw imong pares nga wala ka sa iyang kilid. Apan nagkita na pod mo ron, sa langit this time. Wala nay makabuwag ninyong duha, ever.

Salamat sa mga kabakaba nga niduaw nako. Ikaw ang sulod sa akong hunahuna inig kakita nako nila, I don't know why.

To My Dearest Manang Pacita,
Our Friendship started in 1984. I actually went back to our old church recently where we first met. I even remembered which row you were sitting. You were such a sweet lady. You said, "Hello, what's your name?" I said, "Lucy." You said, "I'm Pacita from Camotes Island, Cebu." We became friends from this day on. Every Sunday, we would meet at St. Cyril church in Encino. I was very comfortable speaking to you about my work situation and the struggles I faced with my Employer at that time. You helped me and your Employer helped me, too. You rescued me from a very difficult situation and you continuously helped me throughout the years. When you retired, I even inherited your former employers. You are gone now, but all the memories will live on in my heart. You were my very Bestfriend, both motherly and sisterly. You were very generous, sweet, kind, and humble. I always depended on you and you were my confidant. We would talk about our families, but I can always talk to you about my life situation. 
When I was in San Diego, you would always check on me to see if I was okay. As you know, you are my Angel. I love you Sistery Pacita Sotto Dalumpines. You were a caring person. Thank you for giving me Bosses/Employers who were also generous, humble, and kind . These families loved you, too! You are now in heaven. I prayed for a Miracle for you to get better, but God wanted you so that you could be with Manong Pacien. I've been very sad since your passing, because you are no longer physically here with us. I could not accept that you're gone, but I need to accept it, and I know that you're always with us. Ang mga anak mo  and Kaapohan - Angie, Angel, Kay, and Alex - maayo sila tanan, such loving people.  
Goodbye, Manang! You had such a loving personality with a good heart towards everyone.  I love you so much! I will miss you. Thank you for all of your help and you are defintely the greatest!

As of late, my thoughts have been bringing  me to this hazy idea: that you’re still on vacation, living life in the Philippines and we’re just patiently awaiting for your arrival; where you would come with a large, balikbayan box and a smile so welcoming it was like you almost never left. Thinking back to everything, and all of the years you’ve taken care of me in Longridge, there isn’t much that I can fortunately remember (though, not in a bad context). It was a life with you that seemed so natural and easy that our memories have melded into something synonymous to comfort. It was the late nights I would find you cooking in the kitchen, preparing dinner for Jb, Ethan and I when mom and dad were away. It was the languid “goodmornings” on the days I had school and I would wake up to your prayers that would guide me safely throughout my day. When I found out about dad and I, I grew an appreciation for you that I never thought possible. You’ve always accepted mom and I into our family, and for that I could be anymore grateful. Of your big heart; of your care and love toward others, that makes the world just a little bit more beautiful and kind. I miss you so much and I think about you everyday. Yet, despite the hurt and pain that comes along with your passing, I’m thankful that you’re with Baba now—watching over us, giving us light and hope that better days are to come now that you’re at peace. 

It sucks here, Lola. Nursing school is so hard but I know I can do it. And I will with your spirit in my heart and voiceless presence in my mind always reminding me of strength. Strength that I could have only garnered from having someone so wonderful like you in my life. 🤍🕊

During the time I got to spend with Lola  Pacita I could tell that she was a very loving person and that everyone had a lot of respect and love for her. She was an inspiration and source of comfort to those around her. I appreciate the welcoming feeling and acceptance she always showed me every time we met. I am so sorry that she is gone.

I'm so grateful to Tiya Pacita for her love and support especially during my college years,  she always sent money for my tuition fee. She always inspired me and sent letters and told me to never give up on my dreams no matter how hard. I will be forever grateful for the love and support and treasure all the times we spent together. You had many stories to us on how you cared and love your siblings and parents and you are really an inspiration of your love and compassion to others ❤

The  first time I met Nanay Pacita it was  Manang Lucy’s birthday celebration at Tony Roma‘s restaurant in Sherman Oaks around 1980s. She welcomed me with open arms like a real mother would do. I was comfortable  talking to her about anything without hesitation. My recollection that I remember every Sunday after church,  I go to her humble home to have a get together for lunch. She always had a bountiful of food on the table. I never get hungry . In fact , you will go home with a full stomach and  a food to go.  We also sing and dance  with other members of the family and other friends. We really had a great time and enjoyed each other’s company. Honestly, Nanay Pacita became my family here in America. She had that motherly love that a real mother would do. I will cherish and treasure everything that she did for me. The love that she  gave me will remain in my heart forever. May you Rest In Peace Nanay Pacita. Now, you will meet Tata Pacin in heaven. I love you dearly.💔😭

We work as public health employees in our native place, Poro, Cebu, Philippines in 1980’s. Nanay was a midwife covering our very own barrio of Libertad. She was always calm and soft spoken lady which I learned these traits from her.She never been seen panicking especially when the regional supervisors  notified us  of their visit. We spent long night in her place to sort out our papers ready for evaluation and mano Pacin always reminded us to “ get some sleep now” and nanay answered that “ we have toothpicks on our eyelashes Cin”which means to prevent us from closing our eyes, in jokingly manner. So funny! You’re being missed nay Pacit! Rest in peace!

Dearest Nanay Pacita,
You were full of life and brought love and smile to all of us. You’re always have a welcoming heart and hands. You’re always open your home to us with a big smile who wants to be part of your family. You never closed your house to anyone, especially during special occasions. We can bring friends without hesitation because they’re all welcome as a family too.
Thank you Nanay for adopting us, especially to my boys(JR and Mikey). Thank you for letting them feel the love of a “Lola” that they don’t experience,since our parents passed away before they were born. Thank you for filling up that hole in their lives.❤️

My Tiya Paceta  was a great woman. a wonderful intellect, a great soul of matchless courage, one of the great women of the earth — and yet we have no right to bow down to her memory simply because she was great. A lot Great minds often use their gifts for a most unholy cause. But you my beloved Tiya as a great woman made a huge difference. We meet to pay a tribute of love and respect to my beloved aunt because she used her matchless power and great gifts for the good of mankind. Adieu Aunt! You are greatly missed.

Tiya Pacita always had a way of making a person feel comfortable and welcomed.  I will miss the times when she would call us couple during the wee hours of the morning to check on us, offer her advice on marriage and relationships, to comfort us and sometimes just to talk about things.  I appreciate so much those precious times and will always treasure them in my heart.

I admire Tiya Pacita's very welcoming nature, her courage and determination to make things work out for everybody, her being so hardworking, the way she thinks of others first before herself, her natural desire to help others, her warmth, her  her deep love for her family and God.

Tiya you will always be in our prayers. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Rest well Tiya, you have fought the good fight of faith and remained steadfast, I am sure God will say to you "Welcome my faithful servant."

I will always have the fondest memories of Lola Pacita. From the earliest days when I first met you Pacita, you were always so kind and thoughtful towards Vicky, Wendy, and me and each of our children Gabriella and Paul  when they were born. Your  warm welcomes at family gatherings, holidays and celebrations always made me feel like I was at home, just like my own mother would do. You will always be in my heart and your legacy will live on in our lives and in our memories. May you rest in peace and may we meet again one day in heaven with all your loved ones close by. 

I met Lola Pacita year  1993. I was a  new comer from the Philippines to a new country  which is America. I don’t  know anybody at all. I will always remember how  welcoming, loving, caring , gracious, thoughtful, kind, and generous  person she was. Every time she had a party at her house, she always asked me if I eat food yet. My response to her was , not yet “Nanay”. Then she will say to me, don’t forget to eat ok. Lola Pacita was a “Nanay” to everybody. She had a warmed heart and contagious smile to everybody around her. Having a party or get together in the future will never be the same without her. She will truly be missed and remembered. May you Rest In Peace Lola Pacita with Lolo Pacin in heaven. I will see you when I see you. I love you very much. 💔
