2023 después de una agotadora batalla contra la demencia de Parkinson. Su familia la apoyó
en sus últimos deseos y finalmente le dio paz. Pasó tranquilamente por su casa rodeada de sus
seres queridos.
Teresa nació de la fallecida Petra Castaneda y Manuel Quinones, en Durango, MX, el 03 de
Octubre de 1947. Ella era muy generosa y siempre se aseguraba de recibir a las personas en
su casa, ya fuera con comida o con conversaciones agradables.
Teresa fue bendecida con una familia numerosa y amorosa. Se casó con Gonzalo Gutiérrez el
9 de abril de 1972 en Durango, MX. Teresa crió a sus cinco hijos con paciencia, disciplina y
humildad. Ella les enseñó a trabajar duro y a ser independientes, y les enseñó lecciones de
vida esenciales para ayudarles a vivir sus vidas al máximo. Teresa tuvo muchos amigos y todos
y cada uno de ellos la recordarán con cariño. Su impacto en la vida de las personas es muy
evidente hasta el día de hoy, ya sea a través del éxito de sus hijos o de las amistades que
mantuvo a lo largo de su vida. Sus seres queridos la extrañan muchísimo y celebran que esté
en paz en el más allá.
A Teresa le sobreviven sus hijos Gonzalo Jr. Gutiérrez y Marco Gutiérrez junto con su esposa
Gloria Gutiérrez; sus hijas Claudia Gutiérrez y Blanca Gutiérrez junto con su esposo Jorge
Rendón, y Rosa Evans junto con su esposo George Evans; sus nietos Loy Acevedo, Crystal
Acevedo, Daniel Acevedo, Marco Gutiérrez, Adrián Rojas, Joselena Rodríguez, Rachael
Gutiérrez, Armando Ramírez, Isabella Gutiérrez, Teresa Evans, Marco Gutiérrez Jr., Nathalia
Castañeda, Tatianna Castañeda, Anahi Evans y Naomi Evans; sus bisnietos, Yuriana Gutiérrez
y Erica Gutiérrez, su hermana, Cruz Quiñones, y sus hermanos Luis Quiñones y Manuel
Quiñones. Le precedieron en la muerte sus hermanas, María del Refugio Quiñones, Matilde
Quiñones y María del Carmen Quiñones; sus hermanos Teodoro Quiñones, Juan Quiñones y
Francisco Quiñones; y finalmente sus padres.
Teresa será enterrada en el cementerio Pierce Brothers Valhalla Memorial Park a las 10:30 a.
m. del 24 de noviembre de 2023, y seguirá una recepción en la casa de su hija mayor.

Teresa Quinones-Gutierrez, 75, returned to her heavenly home on November 6th, 2023 after a grueling battle with Parkinson’s dementia. Her family supported her in her last wishes and ultimately gave her peace. She peacefully passed in her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Teresa was born to the late Petra Castaneda and Manuel Quinones, in Durango, MX on October 3rd, 1947. She was very giving and always made sure to welcome people into her home, whether that would be with food or with pleasant conversations.
Teresa was blessed with a large and loving family. She married Gonzalo Gutierrez on April 9, 1972, in Durango, MX. Teresa raised her five children with patience, discipline, and humility. She taught them to work hard, and be independent, and taught them essential life lessons to help them live their lives to the fullest. Teresa had many friends and will be remembered fondly by each and every one of them. Her impact on people’s lives is very apparent to this day, whether that is through the success of her children or the friendships that she maintained throughout her life. She is dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate that she is at peace in the afterlife.
Teresa is survived by her sons Gonzalo Jr. Gutierrez, and Marco Gutiérrez along with his wife Gloria Gutierrez; her daughters Claudia Gutierrez, and Blanca Gutiérrez along with her husband Jorge Rendon, and Rosa Evans along with her husband George Evans; her grandchildren Loy Acevedo, Crystal Acevedo, Daniel Acevedo, Marco Gutierrez, Adrian Rojas, Joselena Rodriguez, Rachael Gutierrez, Armando Ramirez, Isabella Gutierrez, Teresa Evans, Marco Gutierrez Jr., Nathalia Castaneda, Tatianna Castaneda, Anahi Evans, and Naomi Evans; her great-grandchildren, Yuriana Gutierrez and Erica Gutierrez, her sister, Cruz Quinones, and her brothers Luis Quinones and Manuel Quinones. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Maria del Refugio Quinones, Matilde Quinones, and Maria del Carmen Quinones; her brothers Teodoro Quinones, Juan Quinones, and Francisco Quinones; and finally her parents.
Teresa will be buried at the Pierce Brothers Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. on November 24, 2023, with a reception to follow at her eldest daughter's home.
