

Today we are here to honor, celebrate, and remember the life of Tony Arwanda. Tony was born to Andranik & Oskoi Arwanda in Tehran, Iran on May 23rd, 1972. He was the 3rd eldest of 4 children ; Kamran, Pierre, Tony and Tina. Most of Tony’s youth was spent in Yonkers, New York until his family relocated to California in 1982. Tony attended Kennedy High School where he played Junior Varsity Football for two years. Following his football commitment, he opened his first successful car detailing business at the young age of 17. Tony eventually went on to pursue college and graduated from The University of Phoenix with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Most recently he was attending Kaplan College studying to become an Insurance agent. Tony developed a love for traveling. He traveled to many places around the world; Thailand, Germany, Denmark, Ibiza, Lebanon, Prague and Romania to name a few. Additionally, he visited many states in the U.S. and left an impact wherever he went. Tony had many hobbies which included watching horse racing, attending car shows and playing sports; but his all time favorite hobbies were mountain biking and swimming. Being the faithful New Yorker that he was, his favorite sports teams were The New York Jets & The New York Yankees. Tony had many interests; He followed the stock market, kept up with all the newest cars and always managed to come up with new business ideas/inventions. From coffee mugs to foot scrubbers; he could do it all! Tony had a big heart. He always wanted to help his family, friends and even those he didn't know. No matter the circumstance, he would always give a helping hand to anyone in need. Tony was confident, intelligent and had a personality everyone loved to witness. He could hold a conversation with anyone, on any topic, for hours. Tony was never married nor did he have children, but he treated his nieces and nephews as his own. Tony lived an adventurous life but tragically passed away on January 27, 2022 at the age of 49.Tony was a wonderful son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed, always loved and NEVER forgotten. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
A funeral service for Tony will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Pierce Brothers Valhalla, 10621 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91606. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Pierce Brothers Valhalla Memorial Park, 10621 Victory Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91606.
