Alice Zucker Coran

Alice Zucker Coran, age 85 of Charlotte, North Carolina and formerly of Lauderhill , Florida and Ocean-side, New York, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017. Alice devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and mother-in-law. With her husband Bernie, she traveled all over the world. She was very involved in the Oceanside Jewish Center while living in New York. She will always be remembered as a woman of “class” and remained feisty until the end. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bernie Coran. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Robin Becker and son-in-law, Richard of Ft. Mill, South Carolina; Granddaughters, Lisa and Jaimie Becker, both of Charlotte, North Carolina; brother, Charles Zucker and wife Miep, of Brooklyn, New York; and nephews Paul Zucker, California, and Ian Zucker of Brooklyn, New York. A graveside service will be conducted in Star of David Memorial Gardens, North Lauderdale, Florida. In observance of the upcoming Jewish holiday, Shavout, the family will sit Shiva only on Monday and Monday evening.
