To Allen's family, friends, and loved ones. I honor Allen today as I write this message. Thank you for sharing his life with my family and so many people. He was a great and kind person to us. I pray that G_D gives you peace and comfort. We loved him a lot. He was my friend and mentor. Be encouraged. We love you too.

Allen was a great friend. We pray for encouragement for his wife, Ms. Roz, his daughter, Kathy, and all of his family. Please know that he was awesome and he encouraged many artists, people of all faiths and colors.  He was so kind and I always think about him saying to me, "George don't call me Mr. Bellman, call me Allen." May everyone have the peace of G_D that pass all understand...(Philippians 4:6-9).

My memory was when I met him in the hospital (where I work). He was incredible. We had a really good conversation about art, and his time with Marvel (I told him I did art as well, and that he was a big inspiration ) He told me to learn how to draw, and not copy somebody else’s work. He said “ when you learn how to draw, especially the human form, you can create your own characters, and superhero’s”

I met Allen Bellman at the Denver Comic Con a few years ago. While getting his autograph, I thanked him for so many years of enjoyment of all the characters he helped draw. I also explained that I have Autism and those characters helped me get through a lot of tough times.

Losing him was a huge blow to everyone and I will miss him dearly

You were always was there to listen to me, encourage me, and to guide me when I had questions. Allen, you are a great of example of how to love people. You did not only talk about loving people of all colors, you showed it. I am very grateful that you took the time to be my friend and to care for me and my parents. You are missed and we love you and your family. You will be honored and remembered my friend. G_D's blessings and peace be to Roz and the whole family.

I will always remember the first time that I reconnected with Allen by phone after many, many years.  He had been a close friend of my father, Syd Shores, who died in 1973, and I had lost contact with him.  He was overcome with emotion when I called, and immediately treated me like family from that point on.  My family and I are so grateful to have had his and Roz's friendship through the years -  visits to his home in Florida, a shared experience at the opening of the  Captain America movie in LA, Comic Cons, and ongoing phone conversations.  We will miss him terribly... 

Mr. Bellman and I met through Facebook. He was always generous with his time and his fans. I told him of how growing up around comics and how it saved me and inspired me to be a better citizen, become an educator, and pay it forward every chance I got. Well Allen thought that was so special and was so kind to send me a signed water color drawing! I never expected that! See, he did unexpected kind things his whole life, and with his gift and his inspirational words I will too. I’m better for knowing him. Excelsior Mr. Bellman and thank you. <3

I met Allen and Roz many years ago at RICC. He was always just a joy to watch as he interacted with fans, talking about the old days of when they began the Marvel comics with Stan.  Thru the years I linked up with Allen and Roz at different shows along the way always being greeted them with a solid hand shake by Al and a sweet hug by Roz. As I got to know Allen more while eating at breakfast or lunch, I would always ask him questions about his time in the Navy during WWII. He was very proud of his duty and being a very strong Patriot of the US. Al was never hesitant in letting you know how much he loved the US of A. When he finally told me one solid bit of info about the war, he said, It was scary as Hell and I was too. His humble demeanor was all you needed to know of Allen as he always made the spot light on you. To me, he was like a grandfather. I was instantly drawn to him with great respect as we were both combat veterans. He would turn my questions around making me the spotlight. Clever funny man. Rest easy good and brave Knight. We have the watch.

Allen had been my friend for 8 years when he passed. 
My fondest memory is a phone call where we created an old school Golden Age comic book superhero to use in my stories. I named the character's alter ego Al Bellman. Allen was pleased. We had many great talks and I'm still grieving his loss. I know he had a long , full filling , colorful life but I still miss him. God bless you my friend. RIP

I had the absolute honor of being a volunteer for the Artists at Rhode Island Comic Con last year, and spent a good deal of time with Allen and Roz.  The nicest couple I've ever met and Allen was so funny!  I will always treasure that memory and the pictures we took.  Rest in Peace good sir, you will be sorely missed.  Roz, I'm so very sorry for your loss, you will always be in my thoughts.  

Mr. Bellman was a national treasure. Talking with him, buying autographed artwork, and his book at last year's Elkhart Indiana comicon was something that I will always treasure. My condolences to Mrs. Bellman and everyone who loved him. 

The first time I met Allen was at the 1st Hall of Heroes Comicon. I had stopped by to say hello and see if he needed anything. Near the end of October I saw him again at the Grand Rapids Comicon and he took be by surprise when he looked at me with a smile and greeted me like and old friend. Called me by name that he had heard once 6 months previous. I felt like a million dollars. I'll never forget you Allen, Thank You for Everything

Our first meeting in 2016, where we cried together as you got to share the stage with Stan Lee, Jim Steranko, Joe Sinnott and many others. Meals across the country from Rhode Island and Connecticut to New York and Colorado. Having you refer to me as Old McDonald. Beaming with pride as I told you my daughter had done her 5th Grade presentation on your life. Being taken into you family by you and Roz.
Watching you light up when you met fans- bringing fans to you like a carnival barker. I always think of you like the grandfather I never got to know. I love you so much  and will always miss you. And will always order my bagel with a smear of cream cheese.
We will meet again, my faith tells me so. Say hello to Stan until then.


It was my pleasure, honor and blessing to meet Allen at the Hall of Heroes Comic Con as the museum’s photographer a few years ago. Since then I spent some time with he and Roz at other events the Hall of Heroes did. Allen was a Prince among men and a National Treasure. He always encouraged the youth and spread love and harmony everywhere he went. He was and always will be a giant light in the dark. 

Allen my dear friend you will be sorely missed and you touched the hearts of fans all across our great nation. It was my honor to be a close friend to you over the years. I always enjoyed our many comedy panels together. I still remember the first time I met you at The Grand Rapids Con and I commented on your Captain America attire shirt, tie etc and you said you had Captain America boxer shorts on as well if I would like too see them lol. I will miss your big heart and sense of humor my dear friend. I am happy knowing that you are at peace and reunited in heaven with your son Gary.  We will continue to honor your legacy and memory here at The Hall of Heroes Super Hero Museum.  Love your unofficial grandson Allen Stewart and all of the staff here at Hall of Heroes.

Allen all I can say is thank you kind sir for allowing me to have shared some amazing experiences with a hero of hero’s. You are a true inspiration and I am a better man for having met and spent time with you. God bless you sir and Godspeed.

I have had the "HONOR" of spending a ton of time with Allen and Roz at my Comic conventions across the country, from dinner in Colorado Springs,  to breakfast in Rhode Island,  and lunch in Connecticut.  Each and every time, no matter where, I've always left our time together with more knowledge than when I started. His passion and his love for the fans will be his legacy, for all time to come. When that first fan approached him, you can sense the love and energy just pouring from his heart and soul. I love you, and will always miss you, Allen.

It has been an extreme pleasure and an honor to have known Allen for several years since originally meeting him at a comic con here in South Florida.
Always fun to be around, to talk with or joke around. I remember the first time he responded when asked, how he was doing, he said "Still raising caine" as he lifted his cane up in the air.
He was kind and generous, friendly and always willing to tell his story to anyone. He especially enjoyed the children and giving them words of wisdom and encouragement to be all they can be and instilling in them that nothing is impossible.
Now Allen has been reunited with his son, and all his old friends.

I was lucky to meet Allen Bellman both days of the Elkhart Hall of Heroes Comic Con in September 2019, he was just the nicest & caring older gentleman I’d ever met! He was so generous & was all about his fans, interesting so say the least with his stories that kept you wanting to hear more of a talented live well lived! You could tell everyone that met him was a better person for it! I was hoping to see my friend again but now the reality it won’t be still leaves me satisfied we did cross paths in this thing called life! I will never forget him, & I will display his comic art & are photo on my wall for all time & out of respect for a true Legend! Lastly, I want to say thank you ROZ, for being so gracious to me at last year’s Comic Con & keep you in my prayers! No one is truly alone as long as they have friends......🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.
