

Arrangements under the dAlvin Rose of Tamarac, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, May 4th. He was born on June 26, 1923 in Newark, New Jersey to Benjamin and Pauline (Skalka) Rose. Brother of Jerry and Sylvia Rose, Livingston, NJ; and the late Herbert and Florence Rose Leiter; and the late Ira and Iris Rose Fishman.
Alvin served in World War II, and was extremely patriotic his entire life. He married Ida Landsman on September 10, 1944, before going to the state of Washington, serving as a flight mechanic for planes being sent overseas. He was in charge of welcoming the wounded soldiers back to his base, and making sure they were taken to proper medical facilities.
Alvin leaves behind his beloved and devoted wife of 71 1/2 years, Ida (nee Landsman); daughter, Judy and son-in-law, Mike; daughter Marsha (Charles deceased); son, Artie and daughter-in-law, Phyllis; and son, Jack.
He also leaves many memories to his grandchildren: Lisa Rynar; Marc (Natalie) Rynar; Jason (Heather) Brooks; Philip Rose; Sandra (Danny) Ramos; Benjamin (Samantha) Rose; Jennifer (Nino) Rose; David (Andrea) Rose; and Peter Rose.
He was blessed with twenty great-grandchildren: Jonathon Rynar-Scheiblich; Jordyn Rynar-Scheiblich; Ashley Rynar; Carley Rynar; Hayden Brooks; Harper Brooks; Ashley (Nick) Mas; Zachary Rose; Emily Rose; Samuel Rose; Alexia Ramos; Daniel Jordan (DJ) Ramos; Nikolas Rose; Grace Rose; Giussepina (Josie) Pellerito; Giuseppe (Joey) Pellerito; Giuliana Pellerito; Giustina Pellerito; Bryce Rose; and Max Rose.
Services will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016, at 9:45 a.m. at the Star of David Funeral Home, 7701 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale. Entombment will immediately follow at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens, 11520 State Road 7, Boynton Beach. The family will observe the period of mourning on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 10th and 11th, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at The Lenox on the Lake, 6700 W. Commercial Blvd., Lauderhill, FL 33319.
