Born in Queens, New York, Anita was known for her radiant red hair, vibrant fashion sense, and unwavering positivity. She loved life, had a gift for finding the good in everyone, and never failed to make those around her smile.
A proud Jewish woman, Anita was deeply involved in Hadassah, where she served as President and was honored as a Woman of Valor. She also supported Tunnel to Towers and was admired for her generosity and community spirit.
Anita worked as a teacher’s aide and enjoyed dancing, theater, movies, and she always kept her mind sharp with crosswords and conversation. She’ll be remembered for her humor, grace, and her unforgettable role as the Lion in The Wizard of Oz.
Anita is reunited in eternal peace with her beloved husband Harry, the love of her life. She is survived by her loving sons Larry and Eric, her daughter-in-law Debbie, and her adoring granddaughters Jessica and Alyssa, who will carry her spirit and stories forward with love.
