Beatrice S. Babenco (Bea), born on January 18, 1926 in Brooklyn, New York, formerly of Charlotte, North Carolina and Lauderhill, Florida, passed away at age 92 in Johns Creek, Georgia. Bea was the loving wife of the late Martin (Marty) Babenco and daughter of the late Harry and Anna Feinerman, She was predeceased by her loving son, Lee and her brother George Foster. She is survived by her daughters, Alicia (Bob) Oberhand and Barbara (Jack) Healy and grandchildren Joshua (Barri) Gertz, Perin (Paul) Wehde, Brianna (Bob) O’Connell, Ryan (Rebecca) Healy, Daniel (Ashley) Healy, Jackie Babenco (Matt), Tara Babenco and Skylar Babenco as well as 9 great grandchildren.
Bea was the matriarch and glue that held her family closely together. After working for the government during WWII, she dedicated her life to raising her children, volunteering through her Temple and the community, singing in the choir and deeply engaging in her children’s activities. Bea was a beautiful and stylish woman who passed her love of fashion to her daughters. In her retirement she enjoyed tennis, swimming and traveling.
