Bruce was born in the Bronx, New York, the son of Allen and Sylvia Parker, and brother to Stephen, Martin, and Norman Parker. He later moved to Florida to be closer to family, and it was there that he met his wife, Sue Parker, with whom he built a life and family.
Bruce was a devoted father to Angela, Andrew, Alana, and Craig, and family was always at the center of his life. He loved bringing everyone together and especially treasured time spent with his grandchildren.
An entrepreneur at heart, Bruce spent his life building and owning a number of businesses. He was driven and always thinking ahead, with a natural instinct for new ideas and opportunities. He was also an avid reader and had a lifelong love of learning.
Bruce loved sports. Tennis, golf, and football were among his favorites, and he could happily watch just about any game that happened to be on. He also loved good food and enjoyed sharing meals with family and friends. Those closest to him will always remember his famous breakfast creation, the “Egg Mc’Parker,” a family favorite that became uniquely his.
More than anything, Bruce cared deeply about his family. He loved family gatherings, family vacations, playing cards together, boating, waterskiing, watching a game, and spending time by or on the water. The Parker household was rarely quiet - there was always plenty of talking, laughter, friendly competition, and a little chaos, which was all part of the fun. Those moments, full of family, laughter, competition, and time together, were a big part of who he was. He especially treasured time with his grandchildren and simply being together with the people he loved most.
Bruce will be remembered for his entrepreneurial spirit, determination, love of sports and reading, appreciation for a great meal, the traditions and memories he created, and most of all, the deep love he had for his family.
He leaves behind a family who will miss him tremendously and will carry his stories, traditions, and memory with them always.
