Grandma, thank you for everything.

I remember how good at being fake-angry you were at all my usual hijinks as a kid. I love how aggravated you got when I would call you “Miss Miss” instead of Grandma. I still don’t even remember how or why that name came to be, but it stuck.

I remember you really liked listening to the Mamma Mia soundtrack and Adele. You had the CDs in your car and we’d play them on drives to Toojays or Sawgrass Mills.  I remember all your weird quirks, such as insisting on using a fork and knife for any kind of food, even tacos. And once I got too old for a toy for a birthday present? You would simply hand me a new toothbrush that you would lovingly and jokingly pull out of your purse anytime I saw you on my birthday. And don’t even get me started on all the Seinfeld jokes and episodes you’d talk to me about and as a little kid I’d have no idea about….

You were such a large part of my childhood, together with Grandpa. From the cruises to my Bar Mitzvah, to trick-or-treating in your neighborhood, or even the times we’d have to stay over for a few days since your house had electricity after a hurricane. And to this day, I will have you to thank for my sense of humor and all of these fond memories.

I love you so much Miss Miss, thank you for all that you’ve done and you will forever be in our hearts.
