It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carole May Ofstein, a dedicated wife and beloved mother and grandmother, who left us on October 16, 2024 at the age of 78. She was a pillar of strength, love, and wisdom in our family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Carole was born on August 28, 1946 in Worcester Massachusetts to Benjamin and Sophie Grossman. Carole worked as a Realtor for many years in the Coral Springs area with her late husband Robert Ofstein. She had a passion for good food and socializing, cruise vacations, and playing cards with her friends, but above all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Carole is survived by her daughter Lori Leslie (Neville), son Scott Ofstein (Nikki), brother Richard Grossman (Teddy), and grandchildren Matthew, Amanda, Lexi and Sami, each of whom she was incredibly proud of. You could not have a conversation with her without her raving about all of their accomplishments.
Carole’s memory will live on in the stories we share, the traditions will uphold, and the love we continue to spread.
A Chapel service to honor Carole’s life will be held on October 18, 2024, at 11:45AM at Star of David Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Funeral Chapel, 7701 Bailey Rd, North Lauderdale. Family and friends will gather to celebrate the legacy of a remarkable woman whose contributions to her family and community will be remembered fondly.
