OBITUARY

David Augustus McLean

July 4, 1949November 28, 2019

David McLean, age 70, late of Kitson Town, St. Catherine, Jamaica passed away on November 28, 2019 in Margate, Florida where he currently resided with his wife and son. He worked as a crane operator at Steel Factory in Spanish Town, Jamaica as a young adult and later on as a taxi operator, fondly known as "Speedy." After moving to Florida in 2011, he acquired new friendships with the staff at Show Management where he worked as an electrical department. He leaves behind his wife Juliet, sisters Avis and Louise, and brother James, children Carl, Derrick, Sheryll (daughter), Shawn (daughter), Marvin, David Jnr, Troy and Steven, 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, father-in-law, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends to mourn his loss.

Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday December 21, 2019 at 11:00AM. Funeral service will begin at 11:45AM followed by the Committal at 12:15PM at Star of David Memorial Gardens Cemetery & Funeral Chapel, 7701 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, FL. Interment will follow at Star of David Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

First I want to make condolences to the family and friends of our late uncle David, aka speedy, my uncle was a father a husband who was alway discipline, he alway look out for one interest with his counciling and word of encouragement even in family interest, when I was running for office he was one of my motivator who helps me to push for the right thing, I can always look out to see him visiting my place whenever times he goes to the post office or coming from town to sit and talk Over couple of bears , I love my uncle and he’ll sadly miss be me and his wife and children and other relitives, sleep in peace uncle.
