My good friend! I love you and sorely miss you. Until we meet again.

I have remembered you through the years. While working at Manor Care Boca, you were kind, compassionate, and never missed an opportunity to be helpful. I treasure the mementos you gave me from a visit you made to Israel. Rest easy, be at peace.

Chick, I can't believe you're gone, my friend. I am heartbroken and grieving. I wept copiously when I heard the news. 

We became friends in 1973 at the end of the Yom Kippur War when we arrived at Kibbutz Malkiya. We remained close friends ever since. I love you pal. You became known as Chick, from the Chickenman nickname, because you worked the lool, the chicken house. At least that's what Mort and I called you. Mort passed 10 years ago, so we are down to one - me.

You were truly a man with a good soul. You were kind, generous, and the essence of a mensch.  We had great times at Malkiya. Those were our years! Probably  yours too, although probably more so at Kibbutz Gezer for you.

We did our duty for the State of Israel - IDF service, the three of us. I had the highest medical profile, 97, and yours and Morty's was considerably less, but we served. You did your duty. I salute you, my friend, even though we are the same rank of private. 
Although you lived in Florida we maintained a strong relationship, through almost daily emails, phone calls, and the occasional visit. 

I am truly heartbroken by your loss! Rest in  peace.

And keep your hands off of Ziva, She's mine when I get there. She promised me.

I sincerely love you, buddy. Have fun with Morty. Until we meet again....


David.  You  will always be remembered as that great guy who was always smiling and ready to laugh.  The days that our group  spent together  on Kibbutz  Malkiya will forever be some of my fondest memories, and your face is always part of those precious  remembrances. You  are loved ....and although the world  has lost a bright and shining light, the heavens will now  glow ever brighter. Farewell my friend.

Pastrami maven, turtle lover, generous blood donor, third baseman, loolan (he worked in the chicken coop of Kibbutz Gezer), .... mensch. This man has left his mark, and is missed and revered. 
You’re safe at third, Schulstein. 

David will be remembered, as he would want to be, as a true all star of Kibbutz Gezer. 
In fact, some of our fondest and most cherished memories, are the hundreds of innings we shared the left side of the infield.
