My deepest condolences to Steven and Jodi and the entire family. Doris was my neighbor  on 200th street and I was Steven and Jodi's first baby sitter for over 6 years. You were both like my little  babies. Doris was the most beautiful, warm, and fun person who was also strong willed and only wanted the best for her children.  I just learned about her death and wanted to pass along my condolences.

Doris and I shared many wonderful times during our friendship. Our families were close. Our husbands were partners, and we spent a lot of Sundays and holidays tied together by our boats on Elliot Key.
I will never forget those happy times.
Doris's spirit lives on in her children and grandchildren.

So sad to hear about the passing of Doris.  My memory of her is back when we were in Bay Harbor Elem n after school I would go to her house with Kathy Gaines who lived across the street of Doris. My deep condolences to her family & loved ones.

I knew Doris very well and sat in front of her in math class. I worked with her first husband at harmony music and record world.  She always treated so nice--RIP Doris

Mrs. Tucker-  I was so sorry to hear of Doris' illness and passing.  We saw each other some years back at a MBHS reunion and we connected again and said we would get together but it just didn't happen.  I will always remember our friendship.  Just yesterday I was thinking of her and wondering how she is doing.  Then, this morning I received this notice in my mail.

Doris will live on in our memories ... She fought the good fight and is now at peace.  My sincere condolences to her sweet mother, Jean, and to her family.  Cherish your memories of Doris.

Right now is a sad time. The journey of life on earth takes us through many times of happiness and sadness. Remember the happy times as the most loved and enriching experiences of all. Although the sad times do not outwardly appear to benefit us, they are in reality, what builds strength and character in all of us. It is not always easyâ€¦this thing called life. Plans do not always work out the way they are suppose to and losing a loved one sometimes clouds the horizon. However, I do not believe that Doris would want that today for any of you. Therefore, no matter how lonely the morning sun becomes you always have to remember that it is up to you- you are the ones that have to push the clouds away.
Do not think of Doris as gone away. Life holds so many facetsâ€¦this earth is only one. Just think of Doris as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days or years. Think how she must be wishing that you could know, today, how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. In addition, think of Doris as living in the hearts of those she touchedâ€¦for nothing loved is ever lostâ€¦and she was loved so much. She will be missed.
