Douglas was the most incredibly sweet and giving person I knew. So far as I'm concerned no one told jokes as a faster speed than he did. He could make you laugh even on your grimmest day, even in your darkest hour. I hope you are still laughing wherever you are. You kept a lot of things to yourself, but when you opened up it was like seeing a flower bloom, or the sun rise. You will be missed.

All I can think of is that last time I saw you a few weeks ago.  You gave me a long hug and asked me to pray for you and your mother.  I have done that ever since.  I will miss our long conversations and most of all, I will miss your beautiful smile.  You were a wonderful son. You were a bright and loving soul.  I will never forget you because special people like you live in our hearts and memories forever.  Until we meet again...
