

Elaine Weinberger (nee Najberg) passed away on Feb. 12 after a brief battle with cancer. Mrs. Weinberger, 93, of Coconut Creek, FL was surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born in Bronx, New York on Dec. 5, 1931, to Sol Najberg and Sadie Najberg (nee Zelechow). A 1953 graduate of City College of New York, Mrs. Weinberger wed her beloved husband, the late Lloyd Weinberger on June 12, 1954. The two were inseparable until his death in 2016.
She worked in real estate and alongside her husband for many years in his successful insurance business.
Before becoming a Floridian, Mrs. Weinberger was a longtime resident of Monsey, New York. She was an avid reader, a longtime aficionado of mah-jongg, loved her crooners of the 1960s and 1970s, including Barry Manilow,
Neil Diamond and Kenny Rogers, and was known to keep her television tuned to Fox News.
Mrs. Weinberger is survived by her son, Douglas Weinberger and his wife, Joanne Sniffen, as well as nephew Gary Weinberger and his wife, Irene Marion, nephew Adam Najberg and his wife, Merve Zefer, niece Faith Kohler (nee Najberg) and her husband Martin Kohler. She was predeceased by her
husband Lloyd Weinberger and daughter Stephanie Weinberger, who passed in 1973, her brother, Marvin Najberg, and her niece Margie Kapnick (nee Najberg).
Friends and family will gather to celebrate Elaine Weinberger’s life on Valentine’s Day, Friday, Feb. 14 with a service at 1:30 pm at Star of David Memorial Gardens, 7701 Bailey Rd, North Lauderdale FL.
