Elena was the beloved wife of Mark. Much loved mother of Parker (Shirah), Giovanna, Jamie (William) and Mark (Britnee). Cherished grandmother of Phoebe, Harrison, Easton and Violet. Dearest sister to Beth (Frank). Treasured aunt to Brandon, Jacob and Matthew.
Elena was raised in Hazlet, NJ. She attended Montclair State University and University of Miami. Her career in higher education culminated with her designation of Professor Emeritus from Broward College.
Her bright light and big heart left us too soon, but we will remember her warmth, love and generosity.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Broward County Humane Society, an organization that was close to Elena’s heart. Services will be held at Star of David Memorial Gardens, North Lauderdale on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 10:00 am.
