

Ellen Margot Zeiger, age 83, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026. She was born on June 8, 1942, in Manhattan, New York, where she was raised, and later made her home in Boynton Beach, Florida, where she lived most recently.
Ellen was a warm, generous, and deeply caring person who devoted her life to the people she loved. She was known for always being there for a friend in a time of need, offering kindness, loyalty, and unwavering support. Ellen took great joy in caring for others and leaves behind a legacy of compassion, friendship, and love.
She graduated from Forest Hills High School in New York and went on to build a successful career as a realtor, where she was respected as a dedicated coworker and professional. Outside of work, Ellen loved going to the theater, playing cards with friends, enjoying dinners out, and traveling. She cherished time spent with loved ones and built lifelong friendships wherever she went.
Ellen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and colleague. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Caren Beth Zeiger and Alyssa Jane Gorman, and her cherished granddaughter, Zoe Elizabeth Gorman.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Joel Edward Zeiger; her brother, Bruce Gursey; her mother, Una Gursey; and her father, Sidney Gursey.
A chapel service to honor Ellen’s life will be held at Star of David Memorial Chapel, 7701 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale, Florida, on February 8, 2026. The service will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m. and conclude at the graveside at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are asked to arrive prior to 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow.
