Weinberg, Elliott Alan, 82, of Coral Springs, FL, passed away on June 16, 2020 after a valiant battle with cancer. The irreplaceable leader of the family, Elliott loved his wives, children and grandchildren above all else. He was the loving husband of Donna Marie Weinberg, who cared for him tirelessly as he fought the good fight. Predeceased by Saundra Weinberg, his wife of 35 years, he is also survived by his first love, Sunny Scher.
He was the most loving father to Bruce Weinberg and his wife, Laura, Debra Gaudette and her husband, Bill, David Weinberg, Wendy Shepard and her husband, Pete and Ami Tuckley and her husband, Christopher. He will be remembered as the devoted and inspiring grandfather by his grandchildren, Cal, Jake, Adam, Jared, Samantha and Daniel. He was also a dear brother to Francine Kohn, and touched the lives of many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends around the country. Forever the patriarch, Elliott was a strong leader with a warm and compassionate heart.
Second only to his family was his love of music, and musicians all over the country loved him for his deep appreciation and knowledge of the power of song.
As the founding partner of Weinberg & Company and one of the original founding members of the Monmouth College Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity, he had a keen sense of civic responsibility. A true philanthropist, he was a benefactor to various charitable organizations serving our community, including WLRN Public Radio and Television (where he was a long standing member of their Circle of Friends), Monmouth University Alumni Association, the Southern Poverty Law Center and many other local and national charities. A donation to any of these in lieu of flowers would be wonderful.
He always had a tune in his heart and a joke to make you smile. If anyone needed help, he would always be there.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the funeral service will be immediate family only. The family welcomes anyone who wishes to pay their respects during Shiva at the home of Bruce Weinberg, 10058 N. Springs Way, Coral Springs on Friday June 19 from 2pm - 8pm and Sunday June 21st from 11am - 7 pm.
