Errol Julien, 80, of Hollywood, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 18, 2023, surrounded by family. He joined his beloved wife Barbara who passed earlier this year in May. He was born on May 5, 1943, in the tropical island of Trinidad and Tobago. He later immigrated to the United States as a young man, returned to Trinidad to raise his young children among family, and subsequently returned to United States in his later years.
Errol is survived by his loving children: Camille LaChance (Danny), Christopher Julien (Nicole), and stepchildren Anandi Carroll-Woolery (Lannoia), Khalil Persad, and Anya Pinnock (Raymond). Errol’s legacy lives on through his cherished grandchildren Philip and Brandon LaChance, Jalen, Jasia, and Janna Carroll-Woolery, Dishon and Azlen Pinnock.
He is survived by his siblings, Ronald (Pearl), Pelham (Deborah), and Catherine (Monroe). He was welcomed into eternity by his parents Inskip and Ira, and siblings, Anthony, Keith, Louis and Fleur.
His numerous nieces, nephews, and friends share fond memories of their time together. He shared his hobbies through the years with anyone who would participate in chess, tennis, bowling, and cooking.
Errol attended boarding school at Black Rock College in Ireland. He worked as a draftsman at Trintoplan (Trinidad) and a CAD technician at Hazen & Sawyer (Florida). Prior to his retirement and illness, he enjoyed weekly bowling and tennis tournaments with his colleagues and friends, and church services at Calvary Chapel.
Errol Julien will be remembered for his joking nature, deep-rooted faith, strong principles, and unwavering love for his family and friends. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.
